SOCIAL STUDIES UNIT

September 29th, 2011

We are going to be looking at two of our great presidents!  George Washington and Abraham Lincoln were great leaders of our country.  Each third grade will prepare a skit on one of these great men, and then perform that skit for the other class.  During this unit the students will discuss important documents in our nation’s history.    The students will also be doing research on each of the states, putting their information on a large state puzzle piece.   At the conclusion of our study the students will make a large map of the United States with the puzzle pieces they have created.
